On the scale
Oscar went in for his big weigh-in today, and once again, the numbers were outstanding (Cue annoying tinkly "I'm in the money" piano music). He's put on 43 ounces in the past month, for a total of 12 pounds, 8 ounces, and measures two feet from crown to toe. Dr. Sussman says he's doing fantastic. Here's to mother's magic milk.
He also got his first round of shots today -- for meningitis, diptheria, polio and influenza -- to which he strenuously objected. Only fair. Mommy and daddy still don't like shots all these years and suckers later. And of course, he can't even be bribed with the sucker, yet.
Jen was worried about his left eye, which sometimes seems to be crossed. The doctor said it's probably a "pseudo-crossing" -- the bridges of babies' noses, it seems, are much wider than those of adults, so when they turn their gaze to one side, it can look as though they're unaligned, when in fact, they're fine. Wierd, huh?
Well, in any case, he'll enjoy a nice long respite before his next visit, which isn't due for another two months. Two months!
